Michael James Lee, 56, of Anderson, SC, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2020 at AnMed Health Medical Center. He was born on October 4, 1963 in Sylva, NC to Beverly Thrash Lee and the late Harry R. Lee. Mike was an All-Star baseball player at Clarkston High School. He continued his baseball career at Florida Atlantic University where he graduated in 1987 with a BA in Business. Mike then began his career in the financial world with Citifinancial as a district manager. In his spare time, he was always tuned into an Atlanta Braves baseball game. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Beverly Thrash Lee; daughters, Jami Rae Lee and Jodie Ann Lee; sister, Terri Pounds; nieces, Ashley Oesterle (Ryan) and Helen Pounds; and great-nephew, Hayden Oesterle. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Lee. A memorial mass will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 2:00 pm at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Philip S. Gillespie officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Zion Volunteer Fire Dept., 5503 Hix Rd., Anderson, SC 29625. The family will be at their respective homes.
