Michael Lee Lyon, age 79, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.

Born February 23, 1947, in Anderson, SC, he was the son of the late Joseph Andrew Lyon and Helen Irene Woodson Lyon. He was married to Frankie Sue Moose Lyon until her death in 2001.

Mike was a veteran of the United States Air Force and was an insurance adjuster. He was a man of great faith and enjoyed talking to others about the Lord. He lived his life following the teachings of the Bible. He also enjoyed singing karaoke whenever he could. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who loved his family deeply. He was a member of Shepherd's Chapel Church in Gravette, AR.

He is survived by his sons, Michael Lyon, II (Mandy) and Christopher Lyon (Leah); brother, Mark Lyon (Pamela); and grandchildren, Madison, Michael III, Jackson, Emma, Isabella, and Delilah.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 1:30-2:30 pm at St. George's Episcopal Church. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm with Mark Lyon officiating. The burial service will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends remembering Michael's life.
