MICHAEL 'RIP' RIPLEY October 6, 1944 - September 3, 2007ANDERSON, SCMr. Michael Lee Ripley, age 62, husband of Susan Ellis Ripley of 2808 Little Creek Drive, Anderson, SC, died Monday, September 3, 2007 at the Rainey Hospice House in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on October 6, 1944, Mr. Ripley was a son of the late Henry Lawrence Ripley and Addie Lee Cole Ripley. He was retired after twenty years of service with the Farm Bureau Insurance Company. He was of the Baptist Faith.Survivors include his wife, Susan Ellis Ripley of the home; son, Christopher Michael Ripley; daughter, Leigh Ripley Maxwell, both of Anderson; brother, David Lawrence Ripley of Townville and two grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Elizabeth 'Libby' Dorr.A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2007 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Dr. James R. Thomason officiating.
