SLATERJULY 26, 1958 - May 1, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Michael Dennis Slater, age 50, 403 Auburn Avenue passed away on Friday, May 1, 2009, at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on July 26, 1958, he was the son of Joe Dennis Slater and Bobbie Ann Gleason Slater and was a 1976 graduate of Westside High School. Mr. Slater retired from Michelin, Inc. and was a Baptist. He was an avid hunter, sportsman, and enjoyed coaching baseball and softball.In addition to his parents of Anderson, Mr. Slater is survived by his children, Seth Slater of Anderson & Shay Slater of Greenville; sister, Deborah L. Fitzpatrick of Anderson.Mr. Slater was predeceased by his wife, Debra Browning Slater; and a son, Cody Slater.The Funeral Service will be held at 2pm on Monday, May 4, 2009, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home conducted by the Reverend Steve Silvey. Entombment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum.
