Michael 'Shane' Spake Anderson, SC Michael "Shane" Spake, age 44, passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2014, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Anderson, SC on September 26, 1970, he was the son of Michael Spake and Patricia Boggs Spake. He was a member of West Anderson Church of God. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Alyson Bradlee Spake, of Anderson, SC; a sister, Alyson Spake Burriss and her husband Jonathan, of Anderson, SC; and a grandmother, Dorothy Spake. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, "Papa Spake" Marvin Spake and his grandmother "Mimi" Tommie McKee and grandfather "Papa Boggs" Thomas Boggs; and his great-grandmother, Ruby David. The Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend John Daniel and Reverend Mark Daniel officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, prior to the service, from 12:30 until 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
