Millie Jean "Mickey" Lawton, age 87, of Iva, SC, passed away Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at Iva Rehabilitation and Healthcare. Born September 17, 1933 in Iva, SC, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Ross Lawton and Bernice Lowe Lawton. Mickey was a graduate of Iva High School and was an LPN for many years with AnMed Health before retiring. She enjoyed her Friday afternoons with the Ladies Burger King Club and was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Iva. Mickey is survived by her nieces, Sandra Davis and Mary Beard; nephews, Tommy, Jonathan, Gerry, and Eric Lawton; aunt, Betty Jo Adams; special friend, Ann Bates; sisters in law, Grace and Alice Lawton; and several great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ed and Gerald Lawton. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 8, 2021, from 1:00-2:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Iva. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jerry Gray officiating. Burial will follow at Iva City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Iva Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 519, Iva, SC 29655. The family will be at the home of Tommy Lawton, 306 Clinkscales St., Iva, SC.
