Garnett Michael Ward, age 71, of Easley, SC, passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Rainey Hospice House.

Born March 6, 1953, in Gainesville, GA, he was a son of the late Garnett Ward and Ruth Dyer Ward.

Mike was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed water skiing, knee-boarding, and being out on the water. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Mike loved sports and going to football games and NASCAR races.

He is survived by his son, Steven Michael Ward of Easley; brother, David Ward (Cheryl) of Advance, NC; sister, Carol Prater (Benny) of Murrayville, GA; and grandson, Hayden Michael Ward of Easley.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at 1:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice.
