Mildred Cross Arnold, age 90, wife of the late Owen F. Arnold, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2024, at Rainey Hospice House.

Mildred was born in Iva, Anderson County, South Carolina. Daughter to the late John W. and Evie Brewster Cross, Mildred is survived by her nephew Edwin Thurmon "Cross" Longo and niece Mona "Burney" Black. Mildred was like a mother to both.

Mildred moved to Angie Drive, Anderson, South Carolina in the late 1970's where she later met Owen F. Arnold and began their life together in the 1990's. Mildred had shared friendships and neighbors and was loved by all. A devout Christian, she enjoyed her time as a member of the Jimmy Swaggart Ministries where she received her spiritual guidance every Sunday and Wednesday on SBN TV. Nothing brightened her day more and filled her with excitement as she looked forward to her time with God. Mildred will be missed by so many, and her good deeds and charities will not be forgotten, as she privately served so many.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 12, 2024, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm in the Chapel with Dr. Doug Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow at Starr Baptist Church Cemetery.
