MILDRED BELL March 27, 1951 - June 12, 2013 Mildred Gail Moats Bell, age 62, of 62 Harris Street, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, at her residence. Born in Anderson, she was the daughter of Edith Rogers Moats Burgess and the late Curtis Henry Moats. Mildred attended Palmetto High School and was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. Survivors include her mother, Edith Rogers Moats Burgess and step-father, Harrison Burgess of Williamston; a daughter, Tamara Marie Bell of the residence; 2 sisters, Jackie Bull and her husband, Ben, of Charleston, and Diane Thrasher of Charleston; a step-brother, Michael Burgess of Williamston; 2 step-sisters, Jan Kelly and husband, Bennie, of Williamston, and Sherry Gentry and husband, Jim, of Anderson. In addition to her father, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by a son, Carey Lane Bell, and a brother, Ralph Curtis Moats. A Funeral Service to celebrate the life of Mildred Bell will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at 3 PM, at the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. Ron Fousek and Rev. Danny Singleton officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the home of Edith and Harrison Burgess, 101 Center Street, Williamston, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, June 14, 2013, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
