Mildred Elizabeth Brown Bryan, age 98, of Anderson, passed away at NHC of Anderson on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Born on May 30, 1917, in Mendota, IL, she was the daughter of the late William Brown and the late Retta Howard Brown . For sixty-four years, she was the loving and devoted wife of the late Harry A. Bryan until his death in 2003. She and her husband moved to Anderson in March, 1999, and were members of Trinity United Methodist Church. Survivors include three sons, Gerald Bryan and his wife, Andrea, of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, James Bryan and his wife, Mary Ann, of Anderson, and William Bryan and his wife, Irene, of Nacogdoches, TX; also surviving are nine grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson. The family wishes to thank the staff of NHC of Anderson and Caris Hospice for the loving care they provided Mrs. Bryan during her residency. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Mendota, IL.
