Mildred Simpson Campbell Iva, SC Mildred Simpson Campbell, age 99, of Iva, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Exalted Health and Rehab. Born in Iva, SC, on September 22, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Jessie Wilson Simpson, Sr., and the late Dessie Simpson. Mildred was the salutatorian of her 1933 Iva High School Class. Mildred was a member of Iva First Baptist Church, where she served faithfully for many years as a Sunday School teacher. She was known by family and friends as an excellent cook and baker. She is survived by her sister, Fredna S. Prince of Hopkins, SC and numerous nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse J. "Jack" Campbell, her parents Jessie Wilson Simpson, Sr. and Dessie Lurie Simpson Simpson. Also preceding her in death were nine brothers and sisters. The Graveside Service will be held at Iva City Cemetery on Saturday, May 23, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Mike McMillion officiating.
