MILDRED CHATHAM September 8, 1925 - June 5, 2013 IVA, SC Mildred Lucy Chatham, age 87, of Iva, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at Exalted Health and Rehab of Iva. Born in Carnesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Oscar White and the late Lillie Byrum White. She was a charter and founding member of Temple Baptist Church. She is survived by her two sons, Larry Leon Chatham and his wife Kathy, of Anderson and Roy Chatham and his wife Cathy, of Panama City, FL; three daughters, Mary Jane Greenway, of Seneca, SC, Carolyn Burdette, of Anderson, and Doris Jones of Augusta, GA; a brother, Jimmy White of Lavonia, GA; a sister, Faye Heaton of Mapleton, GA; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Chatham; a son, David Chatham; three brothers, Richard White, Jerome White and John White. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 3:30 PM with Reverend Dr. Larry Pearson officiating. Interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. The family will be at the home of her son, Larry, at 104 Shannon Drive, Anderson, SC 29625 and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
