Mildred (Gillespie) Coker, 83, of Anderson, SC passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Billy Edward Coker. She was born on August 17, 1934, in Anderson, SC., where she lived her entire life. She was the daughter of the late Roscoe and Sara (McAlister) Gillespie and the sister of the late Bobby Gillespie. She graduated from Anderson Girls High School in 1952 and was employed by The Singer Plant (Payroll) for 20 years, before retiring, and was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2-3pm Sunday, August 5, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. The graveside service will follow at 3:30pm at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Dr. Steve Silvey officiating.
