GORDON May 19, 1931 - May 23, 2010 ANDERSON, SCMildred 'Boots' Adams Gordon, 79, formerly of Capeview Lane and wife of the late William Joseph Gordon, died, Sun., May 23, 2010 at Ellenburg Nursing Center.Born in Union, SC, she was a daughter of the late John Wesley Adams and Bursie Nichols Adams. She retired from J. P. Stevens, Wamsutta and Appleton Mills and also worked with Anderson County School District #5 as a custodian. Mrs. Gordon was a member of Taylor Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church.Survivors include her son, William Joseph Gordon, Jr., and his wife, Ronda of Fair Play; daughters, Seareita Todd and her husband, David R. Todd, Elizabeth Gail Stonehacker, Barbara Sue Epps and Alicia Ann Nez all of Anderson; sister, Dot Saxon of Anderson, Christine Hicks of Starr and Betty Aikens of Liberty; 15 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.She was predeceased by a brother, John Wesley Adams, Jr. The Funeral Service will be held on Wed., May 26, 2010 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home by the Rev. Brent Lollis. Burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Seareita Todd, 106 Capital Way, Anderson and will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 10-11 am.THE MC DOUGALD FUNERAL HOME is in charge of the arrangements.
