Mildred Dean Heaton Macon, GA Mildred Dean Heaton, age 81, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Born in Hart County, GA, on November 13, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Crate Heaton and the late Emma Katherine Robertson Ayers. Mildred retired from Coliseum Medical Centers with 40 years of service. She will be missed by her many hospital friends. Her community and church were also a very important part of her life. Mildred volunteered for her church ministry, Mulberry Outreach, in several areas. She also volunteered for Florence Bernd Elementary School. Mildred was a very active member with her church, Mulberry St. United Methodist and the J.O.Y. Sunday School Class. She is survived by her nieces, Janet Young, of Hartwell, GA, and Melody Riley, of Pelzer, SC; and her nephews, Scott Weaver, of Gainesville, GA, Calvin Heaton, of Hartwell, GA, Sammy Heaton, of Pelzer, SC, Johnny Heaton, of Gainesville, GA, Mark Coker, of Gainesville, GA and Rodney Heaton of Gainesville, GA and several cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Georgia Weaver; and three brothers, Herbert Heaton, Denver Heaton, and Inman Heaton. The Graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with the Rev. Ron Watson officiating. The family will gather for a time of visitation following the service. The family wishes to thank the special friends that have helped Mildred through this journey.
