Mildred "Bet" Louise Yeargin King, age 88, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born on June 12, 1927, Mrs. King was a daughter of the late Jesse James Yeargin and Nellie Sue Gentry Yeargin Hickman. She grew up in the Starr area and attended Starr High School. She retired from Essex Belton Corporation and was a former member of West Whitner Baptist Church and presently a member of Capstone Community Church. Survivors include her daughter, Connie Diane Lollis, of Anderson; a life-long special friend, Ted Carey; a granddaughter, Angie Lollis Burdette, and her husband Ben; and three great-grandchildren, Zack Burdette, Destiny Jade Burdette, and Nick Burdette. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Donald King, Sr.;granddaughter, Cynthia Adele Lollis; brothers, James William "Bill" Yeargin and Bobby Lewis Bob" Yeargin; sisters, Ethel Y. Jennings, Marjorie Y. Smith, Sara Virginia Y. Carter, Julia Ann Y. Gambrell, Claudine Yeargin, and Ernestine Y. Jones. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Ed Hunsinger officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
