Mildred JoAnn Stalnaker, 86, of Lexington, KY, formerly of Anderson , SC, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020. She was born on April 1, 1934 in Anderson to the late William Lafayette Corn and Vera Anders Corn. She was married to the late Marshall Ervin Stalnaker who passed in 2001. JoAnn worked for the Singer company and retired after many years. She was a member of South Side Church. She is survived by her daughter, Jackie Bates of Lexington, KY; brother, Johnny Corn (Lisa) of Anderson, SC; granddaughter, Wendy Dugger (Josh); and great-granddaughters, Kaylie and Allison Dugger. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Rally, Bill and David Corn; and sisters, Mary Garner and Martha Buchanan. A private family graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Old Silver Brook Cemetery. Family members are encouraged to attend and are asked to practice social distancing. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
