THOMPSON FEBRUARY 27, 1940 - SeptEMBER 19,2010ANDERSON, SC ' Mildred Larue Phillips Thompson, age 70, of National Health Care, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010, at AnMed Health Center.Born in Anderson, SC, on February 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Arlue Page Phillips and Emma Thomas Phillips. She worked for Durkin Spinning in Poke Co., Tennessee, then moved back to Anderson in 1994. She was a former member of River Height Pentecostal Church, and was an avid gardener. Survivors include her sons: Richard Lee Thompson and his wife, Denise, of Anderson, Matthew Brian Thompson and his wife, Sonya of Cleveland, Tennessee, a daughter-in-law, Kimberly Thompson, of Anderson, four grandchildren: Jake, Hunter, Zach and Aaron Thompson, sisters: Troyce Tollison of Anderson, Lois Burdette and her husband, Harold, of Belton, Dorothy Phillips, of Belton, Carolyn Woodson, of Anderson, Nancy Green, of Belton, Clara Jordan and her husband, Morris, of Honea Path, and Becky Phillips of Belton.In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carrol Land Thompson, a son Jeffery Bruce Thompson, and a brother, Charles L Phillips.The Funeral Service will be held at 3:30 pm on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Terry Bailey, Reverend John Woodson, and Reverend Ted Cuddy. Interment will follow in Garden of Memories, in Belton.The family will be at the home of Lois Burdette, 215 Bill Kay Road, Belton, SC.
