WHITTDECEMBER 18, 1924 - JanUARY 31, 2011ANDERSON, SC ' Mildred Lee James Whitt, age 86, wife of the late Ralph Whitt, passed away on Monday, January 31, 2011, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born December 18, 1924, in Anderson, SC, she was a daughter of the late Harold James and Bessie Gunter James. Mrs. Whitt was a graduate of the Carolina School of Commerce and was the co-owner and operator of Ralph Whitt Carpets. She is survived by her two daughters: Pamela Whitt of Anderson, SC, and Kimberly Whitt Ard and husband, Emerson 'Lanny' Ard of Myrtle Beach, SC; three grandchildren: Whitney Lanne Ard, Kristen Ashley Ard, and Miles Emerson Ard; brother, Haskell James of Anderson, SC; and sister, Juanita Jackson of Anderson, SC.The Funeral Service conducted by the Reverend J. Chris Fischer will be held at 2pm on Thursday, February 3, 2011, in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home.
