Miles Edward Larason, age 37 of Anderson, passed away at his home in Cobbs Glen on Saturday, December 10, 2016. Born on November 6, 1979 in Anderson, he was the son of Jerry L. And Louise Wright Larason. He was a graduate of T.L. Hanna High School, Class of 1998, and an avid Clemson Tiger fan. Miles was a gifted golfer and played on the T.L. Hanna golf team through junior high and high school. Later he worked at Cobbs Glen Country Club and subsequently at golf clubs in Florida and North Carolina. He worked construction jobs in the housing industry in Anderson and was licensed to operate heavy equipment. Most recently he was working for UPS in Anderson. Miles was predeceased by his grandparents, Donald and Eileen Larason of Newark, Ohio, and Leonard and Martha Wright of Russellvillle, Arkansas. He is survived by his parents, his former wife, Lorin Holmes Larason Smith and daughter, Katie Grace Larason of Anderson; a sister, Martha Lauer and her husband, Aaron, of Morrisville, NC and their children, Winslow and Penelope Hobbs; his maternal aunt, Donna and husband Craig Martin of Anderson, his maternal aunt, Betsy and Jody Thomas of Jefferson City, Missouri; his paternal uncle, Ronald Larason, of Palm Springs, California; and cousins Spencer Martin of Kansas City, Missouri, Wesley Martin of Rustin, Florida, Elizabeth Martin Collier of Hoschton, GA, Julie Thomas McElwaine, and Drew Thomas of Jefferson City, Matt Thomas of Taos, New Mexico and their families. A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Miles will be held on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Rev. Dwight Greene officiating.
