Millicent Graham Oehmig 'Millie' Aiken, age 76, of 2505 Edgewood Avenue, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2011, at the Rainey Hospice House.Born December 11, 1934, in Walhalla, SC, she was a daughter of the late Carl Gottleib Oehmig, Jr., and Emma Reese Oehmig, and a granddaughter of the late Carl Gottleib Oehmig and Isabell Cooley Oehmig, and Ernest E. Reece and Elsie Neeves Reece. Upon completion of Anderson Girl's High School, Mrs. Aiken studied dance under Paul Draper in New York. She owned a professional dance studio where she taught tap, ballet, and jazz for twenty-five years.She is survived by her husband, William Robert 'Bobby' Aiken Sr., of the home; brother, Carl Gottleib Oehmig III, and wife, Brenda Oehmig of Anderson, SC; grandson, William Robert Aiken III and wife, Angel Rene Aiken and their children: Kaylee Anne Aiken and Katelyn Madysen Aiken; grandson, Taylor Brown Aiken and wife, Taylor Dillingham Aiken and their children: Jaylyn Ryleigh Dillingham Aiken and Rylan Leigh Aiken; and grandson, Justin Graham Aiken and son, William Graham Aiken.In addition to her parents and grandparents, she was predeceased by two sons: Cass Aiken and William R. Aiken Jr.; and a sister, Marguerite Oehmig Guy.The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2011, in the Mausoleum Chapel of Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Reverend Dr. Martin L. Harkey Jr., and the Reverend Alex Campbell will conduct the service.
