ANTONAKOSJUNE 17, 1925 - FebrUARY 16, 2009ANDERSON, SC ' Milton Constantine Antonakos, husband of Betty Dye Antonakos, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2009, at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC, on June 17, 1925, he was a son of the late Gus and Mary Angelakos Antonakos. He was a graduate of Boys' High School and attended Georgia Tech. While serving in the United States Navy he served on the USS Alabama. Mr. Antonakos owned and operated numerous businesses. He rejuvenated his life the most when he owned and operated Nick's Restaurant in Clemson. He truly loved his Clemson friends ' many of whom became like family. In addition, he was an avid golfer. He was a member of Grace Episcopal Church where through the years he had served in all capacities.Survivors include his wife, Betty Jane Dye Antonakos of the home; son, Milton C. Antonakos, Jr. and wife, Kimberly Antonakos of Greenville, SC; grandchildren: Olivia, Mills, Anastacia Antonakos, all of Greenville, SC, and Angela and Maria McCown of Anderson, SC.He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Jane Antonakos McCown a grandson, Matthew McCown; and his brother, James G. Antonakos.The Funeral Service will be at 11am on Thursday, February 19, 2009, at Grace Episcopal Church conducted by The Rev'd John B. Hardaway, IV. Immediately following the service, the family will receive friends in the Parlor of Grace Episcopal Church.
