He was a member of Union Baptist Church where he attended the Men's Bible Class. He was a member of the Iva Masonic Lodge #238 and had served as Past Master. He retired with 45 years of service, as a service technician, from Minyard-Waidner Cadillac Oldsmobile Dealership in Anderson, SC. Following his retirement he enjoyed gardening. Milton was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a good neighbor to all, and always willing to lend a helping hand. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Florine Stratton Ozmint; son, Milton Ira Ozmint and his wife, Paula of Simpsonville, SC; daughters, Dianne Burdette and her husband, Michael of Abbeville, SC, Mary Beth Bruce and her husband, James of Anderson, SC; grandchildren, Nicholas Ozmint, Maggie Ozmint, Megan Burdette, Kylie Burdette, Russell Bruce, Scott Bruce and his wife Mary. Also surviving are his brother, Raymond Ozmint, and his sisters, Alice Campbell and Thelma Metz.He was predeceased by his brother, J.C. Ozmint; sister, Reba Burriss; half-brothers, Volley, Hoyt, and Thomas Ozmint; half-sisters, Ernestine Wiles, Amy Forrester, Fannie McGee and Icylee Wiles.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Union Baptist Church, Iva, SC at 2:30pm with the Reverends Ronnie Powell and Jim Osteen officiating.
