In earlier years she was active in the Order of the Eastern Star and taught the GA's at the church. She enjoyed traveling with the seniors and visited many places in the United States and abroad. She is survived by a number of nieces, nephews, and their families. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by all of her siblings: Inez & Annie Manning, Lucille Phillips, & Cornelia Burdette, as well as Leftridge, Robert, Thomas, & David Manning.The Funeral Service will be held at 3pm on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Union Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Mike McMillion. Miss Manning will be placed into the church at 2pm for viewing until funeral time.
