Born in Anderson, SC on June 15, 1943, Minnie was the daughter of the late Thomas Everette Newton and Ruth Wilson Newton. She was a seamstress for several textiles companies and was a member of the Red Hatter's Group.Survivors include her son; Hoyt W. Patterson, Jr. and wife, Melissa; step-daughter, Beth Glenn; three grandchildren; a great-granddaughter and several step-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a very special friend, Dale W.
