MIRIAM WHITLOCK June 1, 1924 - July 30, 2008ANDERSON, SCMrs. Miriam Ruth Hanna Whitlock, age 84, of 539 Drayton Circle, wife of the late Harold E. Whitlock, died Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at the AnMed Health Medical Center in Anderson.Born in Anderson, SC on June 1, 1924, Mrs. Whitlock was a daughter of the late Herman Hanna and Ruby Lafoy Hanna. She was a graduate of Girls' High School and retired from textiles having worked at Wellington Mill and La France Mill. She was a member of Concord Baptist Church, a member of the Faith Sunday School class and a member of the Keenagers Adult Ministry.She was survived by her sons, Gary Whitlock of Anderson and Terry Whitlock whose death occurred on July 31, 2008. Other survivors include her brother, Don Hanna; sisters, Gladys Dunn, Evelyn Gosnell, Billie Sullivan and Ellen Cheek all of Anderson; two grandchildren, Jeff Whitlock of Columbia and Kelli Whitlock of Anderson and two great-grandchildren, Kendall Whitlock of Anderson and Christopher Scott Whitlock of Weaverville, NC. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Daniel Whitlock; brothers, Alec Hanna and Carl Hanna and sister, Helen Pickens.The Funeral Service for Mrs. Whitlock and her son, Terry Whitlock will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverends Bob Marcaurelle and Randy Blank.
