She retired from the textiles industry after thirty-eight years of service at Orr Mill. She was a member of Starr Baptist Church ' having joined the church in 1936. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Lottie Hall. The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, March 22, 2009, at 3:00 pm at Starr Baptist Church conducted by the Reverend Tony Howell and the Reverend Jack Ray.
