Mitchell Meredith Carthern, age 64, passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on October 19, 1954, he was the son of the late Amory Carthern and the late Allene Crumley Carthern. He was a member of Belmont Church of God of Prophecy.He is survived by three sisters, Caroline Carthern, Mary Beth Carthern, and Jennie Standridge, all of Anderson.In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Sue Bearden Carthern; and two brothers, Audie and Keith Carthern.The Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with Reverend Ed Hunsinger and Bishop Alan Rhodes officiating.
