Monica Bazan Hunter, 71 of Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 21, 2024, at The Blake at Hollingsworth Park in Greenville, SC. She was born November 2, 1952, in Cleveland, OH. Monica was a daughter of the late Edward Theodore Bazan and the late Celia Mary Bogzvitz Bazan. After receiving her master's degree from Central Florida University, Monica began a career as a marketing director, working in the healthcare industry. She was a dedicated employee and co-worker. Monica was of the Lutheran faith.

Monica loved to travel for adventure but mostly she traveled for photographs. She traveled worldwide, from Africa to Antarctica, taking photographs which she entered in contests. She was an excellent photographer and earned many awards. She enjoyed hiking and especially enjoyed owning, training and showing German shepherds. Monica and her dog, Ursa brought home countless ribbons; excelling in different categories. Due to her love of gardening, she earned a Master Gardner certificate from Clemson University. She loved growing roses, antique irises and other perennials. She was a long time member of the France Vason Garden Club. Anything Monica chose to do; she did with a passion to excel and be the best.

She is survived by her husband, Charles "Chase" Pinckney Hunter, III; brother, Anthony C Bazan; and sister, Linda C. Bazan.

The family will be at the residence.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm at The McDougald Funeral Home.
