MORRIS "MOE" BUCCINO August 5, 1932 - June 10, 2012 Morris Mauro "Moe" Buccino, age 79, of 408 Laurel Creek Drive passed away Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Dunmore, PA, he was a son of the late Joseph Buccino and the late Rose Manente Buccino. For 59 years he was the devoted and loving husband of Rose Guglielmo Buccino of the residence. Moe was an avid runner, having helped to organize the Electric City Running Club. He set several records, one of them being the oldest man to win the half marathon. Being one of many interests, he also enjoyed bowling, drawing, gardening and particularly manicuring his lawn. Professionally, Mr. Buccino was a professional truck driver, working for Am-Can Trucking and later for BASF. After retiring, he cared for the building and grounds at Cornerstone Church, and later worked as a currier for AnMed Health. Moe proudly served his country being a veteran in the US Army. He was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Rose G. Buccino of the residence, Mr. Buccino is survived by 2 sons, Joseph J. Buccino of Ventura, CA, and James M. Buccino and his wife Karen of Anderson; 2 daughters, LuAnn Haren and her husband Robert, of Satellite Beach, FL, and Janice Johns and her husband Dalma of Gilbert, SC; 2 brothers, Daniel Buccino and his wife Millie of Dunellen, NJ, and Henry Buccino and his wife Roseann of Mountainside, NJ; also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service celebrating the life of Moe Buccino will be held Friday, June 15, 2012, at 12 Noon at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Aubrey McNeil and Brother Henry Fulmer officiating. The family is at the residence and will receive friends at the church on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:30 AM. The family requests memorial contributions in memory of Moe Buccino be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621; or to St. Joseph Catholic Church Building Fund, 1303 McLees Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
