Edward William White, age 77, of Iva, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2013 at Exalted Health and Rehab in Iva, SC. Born in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of the late Herbert Talmadge White and Florence Eleanor Corbet White. He served in the United States Army in his earlier years and was active in caring for the elderly. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his wife, Mary A. Helms White, of the home, he is also survived by his sister, Armeda Badgley, of Columbus, Ohio; 3 sons, Edward "Eddie" White, Jr., of Columbus, Ohio; David Guin and his wife, Peggy, of Pelzer, SC; and Billy Guin and his wife, Tracy, of Williamston, SC; 4 daughters, Margo White, of Columbus, Ohio; Flo White Beeson and her husband, Larry, of Peebles, Ohio; Betty Guin Holliday and her husband, Dwayne, of Williamston, SC; Cindy Guin Harris and her husband, Charlie, of Anderson, SC; and Becky Guin Ross and her husband, Tony, of Center Pointe, AL; 17 grandsons, 9 granddaughters, and 23 great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 4 sisters. The Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 3:30 PM in The McDougald Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dwight Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday, May 13, 2013, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. The family is at the home at 201 E.
