ELINGBURGNOVEMBER 8, 1943 - DeceMBER 9, 2010ANDERSON, SC ' Carroll Stanley Elingburg, age 67, of 119 Lyndhurst Drive, passed away on Thursday, December 9, 2010, peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.Born November 8, 1943, in Asheville, NC, he was a son of Mary Ann Gregory Elingburg and the late Raymond Dalton Elingburg. He was a graduate of Asheville Biltmore College and served in the United States Army Reserves. Mr. Elingburg retired from Kemet Electronics in Greenville, SC, and was a member of Skyland United Methodist Church in Asheville, NC. He was an avid golfer.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Karen Lane Elingburg; two step children: Kristen Lane Randall and husband, Charles of Blythewood, SC, and Jarvis Gordon Lane of Greenville, SC; a granddaughter, Emma Grace Randall; his beloved pet, Pepe'; brothers: Ray Elingburg of Weaverville, NC, Charles Elingburg and wife, Mary Ruth of Arden, NC, Earl Elingburg of Asheville, NC, John Elingburg and wife, Willene of Greenwood, SC, Rick Elingburg and wife, Jan of Asheville, NC; sisters: Anne Morgan of Arden, NC, Shelia Elingburg of Lexington, KY, and Shannon Capps and husband, Leonard of Monroe, NC. Mr. Elingburg is also survived by many nieces and nephews that were very special to him.He was predeceased by his father, Raymond Dalton Elingburg; brother, Ted Elingburg; and a sister-in-law, Dolly Elingburg.The Elingburg Family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, Anderson, SC, on Saturday, December 11, 2010, from 2pm until 4pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Skyland United Methodist Church, Asheville, NC, on Sunday, December 12, 2010, at 3pm. The family will receive friends at the Church from 1pm until 3pm, prior to the service.
