06/Mr. Paul V. McBride, Sr., age 88, of 632 East Broad Street, Iva, SC, died Saturday March 31, 2007 at the Elbert Memorial Hospital in Elberton, GA. He was a dedicated husband of the late Katie Lee Miller McBride and has been reunited with his wife of sixty-seven years following her death this past January.Born in Iva, SC, he was a son of the late Samuel Andrew McBride and Lula Burton McBride. He had been associated with the Civilian Conservation Corps and retired from the Rocky River Plant after twenty-two years of service. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Iva where he attended the Joyful Hearts Sunday School Class.Survivors include his children, Shirley Sears and her husband, Jerryl of Winston-Salem, NC, Frances Carnes and her husband, Jimmy of Elberton, GA, Robert McBride and his wife Peggy of Elberton, GA, Paul McBride, Jr., and his wife, Judi of Iva, SC, Sammy McBride and his wife, Phoebe of Anderson, SC, Tony McBride and his wife, Teresa of Starr, SC, Danny McBride and his wife, Cindy of Iva, SC and Chad McBride and his wife, Teresa of Starr, SC; a brother James McBride and his wife Helen of Kernersville, NC. Also surviving are sixteen grandchildren respectively, Jerryl, Crystal, Nissa, Andrea, Tammy, Jamie, Stacey, Sandie, Dolan, Derek, Crystal, Mandi, Leigh, Kasie, Devan, Reece and seventeen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers Olin, William, and John McBride.A Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2007 at 2:00 pm at Iva City Cemetery officiated by the Reverend Jerry Gray. His sons will serve as the Pallbearers.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Monday, April 2, 2007 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm.The family will be at their respective homes.Flowers are optional.
