MRS. TOMMIE H. PORTERDecember 26, 1911 - December 16, 2008Mrs. Tommie Harrison Porter, age 96, of 5209 Slater Road, wife of the late Roscoe J. Porter, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at NHC in Anderson.Born in Fair Play, SC, she was a daughter of the late Thomas L. Harrison and Annie Cleo Carson Harrison. She retired from Anderson County School Districts 4 and 5. After her retirement, she worked at Anderson Youth Treatment Center. Mrs. Porter was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church, where she was in the Fidelis Sunday School class and a member of the sanctuary choir.Survivors include a daughter, Barbara P. Scott of Anderson; two grandchildren, Mike Scott and wife Cathy of Pendleton, and Pam Isbell and husband Mark of Spartanburg; three great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Agnes Jones of Anderson and special caretaker, Cathy Jones.In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Gussie Mae Cobb, Lillian Pilgrim and Sue Jones and a brother James Harrison.The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 18, 2008 at 3:00 pm at Lebanon Baptist Church officiated by the Reverends Harry Warren and Jason Webb.
