Obituary

Mrs. Jane Lois Griffith Ciesla, 78, died on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Hospice of the Upstate, Anderson, SC. Born in Pleasant Lake, Indiana on November 15, 1939. Jane was the daughter of the late Orville James and Lois Lyons Griffith. She graduated from Three Rivers High School in Three Rivers, Michigan. She was class Valedictorian. Jane graduated from Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke's Medical Center School of Nursing. Jane was a critical care nurse practicing nursing for many years. She then served as a nursing administrator at AnMed Health, retiring in 1996. She and her late husband Stanley were avid travelers having visited over thirty countries across the world. She was also an active member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Anderson, SC. Jane was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, and is survived by sons Mike Ciesla (Christine) of Charlotte NC and Jim Ciesla (Marlyn) of Naperville IL and daughter Linda Ciesla Whitaker of Charlotte NC, five grandchildren and two great grandchild, and brothers James Griffith of Three Rivers, MI, John Griffith of Charlotte, NC, and Joel Griffith of Palatine, IL. The funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Anderson, SC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Anderson, SC or to the Hospice of the Upstate. A message of condolence may be sent by visiting www.mcdougaldfuneralhome.com.
