Mrs. Johnnie Alexander McBride, 93, of Anderson, SC, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2020 at NHC Healthcare Anderson. Born February 1, 1927, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late John and Emma Fulgum Alexander. Johnnie attended Homeland Park Baptist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Haynie (Keith) and son, Roger Dale McBride, both of Anderson; brother, Harold Alexander of Anderson; four grandchildren, Russell McBride (Michelle); Krystal Beeks (John), Travis Haynie (Jessica), and Slade McBride; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Michael McBride; brothers, Miles, Hoke and Grady Alexander; and sisters, Grace Saylors, Willie Mitchell, Maudeen Looper, Leona Gilreath and Mildred Alexander. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Pastor Russell McBride officiating. Flowers will be accepted. The family would like to sincerely thank NHC and its entire staff for the special care they gave to Johnnie and her family.
