Obituary

Mrs. Minnie Mae Murphree Campbell, age 87, of 1300 Autun Road, widow of James Wideman Campbell, Sr., died Saturday, November 26, 2005, at her residence.She was born in Commerce, Georgia, on May 31, 1918, to the late William Styles Murphree and Lessie Gertrude Hunter Murhree. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church.Surviving are four daughters: Ruby Seymore and Rachel Wood, both of Pendleton, SC, Nancy Lewis and Shirley Campbell, both of Anderson, SC; a brother, Clarence Murphree of Ellijay, GA; a half-brother, John Henry Hicks of Cashiers, NC; two sisters; Lillie Mae Monroe of Piedmont, SC, and Maebell Mathis of Liberty, SC; 16 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, James Wideman Campbell, Jr.; two brothers, Henry Murphree and William Murphree and a sister, Essie Mae Hornick.The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 1005, at 1:00 pm at LaFrance Baptist Church with the Reverend Gene Burdette officiating. Burial will follow in Center Church Cemetery, Oakway, SC.
