JOHNNIE 'MEME' CAREY August 1, 1943 - May 26, 2009ANDERSON, SCMrs. Johnnie Sue Loskoski Carey, age 65 of 223 Greenmeadow Circle, died Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at the AnMed Health Medical Center.Born in Anderson, SC on August 1, 1943, Mrs. Carey was a daughter of the late Wilson Loskoski and Bertha Elrod Loskoski. She was a graduate of Girls' High School and attended Forrest Junior College. She retired from BASF where she was on the First Responder Squad. She was an avid bowler and a wonderful friend to many. Survivors include her daughter, Wendy Leitner and her partner, Matt Reeves of Anderson; sisters, Margaret Waters and her husband, Mahlon of Taylors and Patricia Cox and her husband Tom of Apple Valley, CA; sister-in-law, Sylvia Loskoski of Williamston; three grandchildren, Nichole, Hannah and Jakob.She was reunited in heaven with her parents and brothers, Bobby and Billy Loskoski.A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Gordon Taylor.The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.The family will be at the home of her daughter, 300 Sweetbriar Circle, Anderson.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, Upstate SC and Western NC, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615 or Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.A message of condolence may be sent to the family by visitingwww.mcdougaldfuneralhome.comThe McDougald Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
