RET'D April 25, 1935 - June 6, 2011IVA, SCMSGT Fred Johnson, Jr., Ret'd, age 76, husband of Priscella Alexander Johnson of Iva, died Monday, June 06, 2011.Born in Greenville, SC, Mr. Johnson was a son of the late Isom Fred Johnson and Annie Olson Johnson. He was a graduate of Boys' High School, Class of 1954. Fred retired from the United States Air Force with the rank of Master Sergeant following his 23 years of service, including three tours in Vietnam, and receiving the Air Force Medal of Valor. He also retired from BASF with 19 years of service.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Priscella Alexander Johnson; children, Micheale Hill and her husband, Ross, of Charlotte, NC, Angela Phillips and her husband, Scott, and Marc Johnson and his wife, Denise, all of Anderson, SC. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Courtney and Caitlin Phillips, Ozan Hill, Emily Hill, Madison Scalf and Gavin Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five brothers, Earl, Marshall, Theodore, Furman and Bobby Johnson.A Graveside Service with Full Military Honors will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at 11:00 am at M. J. 'Dolly' Cooper Veterans Cemetery officiated by Rev. Donald Johnson.
