Murdoch "Doc" MacKinnon, 84 of Honea Path, SC passed away on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at his home. Born July 23, 1934 in Lowell, MA, he was a son of the late Norman and Eathon Siravo MacKinnon. He was a graduate of Boys High School and served in the United States Navy. He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service. Doc is survived by his companion, Cathy Jennings; daughter, Angela VanDeMerwe of Maryland; brother, Kym MacKinnon of Greer; sister, JoAnne Heeb of Edgewater, FL and three grandchildren. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 6-8pm Thursday, December 27, 2018 at The McDougald Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Silver Brook Cemetery.
