Myra Cothran Johnson, 65, loving wife of Dennis Johnson, didn't die Thursday, she went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Born in Central, SC, on May 1, 1952, Myra was the daughter of the late Ernest R. Cothran and Carolyn Rogers Cothran. After graduating from T.L. Hanna, she earned her Associates Degree from Forest College. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church. In addition to her husband Dennis, Myra is survived by her brothers, Tommy Cothran (Cheryl) of Anderson, SC, and Scott Cothran (Alyse) of Savannah, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Myra was preceded in death by her sisters, Diane Immel and Cindy Rhodes. The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. following visitation on Wednesday in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home, with Pastor Michael Kinard officiating. The family would like to offer a special thanks to Center Rock Fire Department, Med-Shore Ambulance Service, all First Responders, Cheryl Cothran for caring for her for several years, Don McCown for his compassion and understanding, and the nurses at Kindred Home Healthcare, especially Keri.
