MYRTLE MC CLAIN May 26, 1918 - August 28, 2005IVA, SCMrs. Myrtle 'Granny' McClain, age 87, of 106 Project Road, Apt. 132, Iva, SC, died Sunday, August 28, 2005 at Willow Creek Nursing Home in Iva, SC.Born in Iva, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Clinkscales and Mary Brown Clinkscales. She was retired from Iva Manufacturing Company and attended Iva First Assembly of God.Survivors include a son, Walter White, Jr., of Hyattsville, MD; daughters, Laurita Driver and Annabelle Crocker, both of Iva, SC and Mary White of the home; step-son, Danny Wayne McClain and three step-daughters, Barbara, Leona and Sue; a brother, Elbert Clinkscales of Columbus, GA; two sisters, Frances Davis of Anderson, SC and Ann Richard of Iva, SC; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Walter R. White and Edward McClain; three brothers, Paul, Tommy and William Clinkscales and two sisters, Georgia Loftis and Ethel Woodruff.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 3:00 pm at Iva First Assembly of God by the Reverends Albert Miller and Charles Howell. Interment will follow in Iva City Cemetery.The family will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 30, 2005 from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Mrs. McClain will be placed in the church at 2:00 pm on Wednesday.The family will be at the home of her daughter, Annabelle Crocker, 200 H.H.
