Nancy Shaw May, age 93, of Anderson, SC, loving wife to the late Stephen C. May, Jr. MD, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2022, at Rainey Hospice House. Born August 8, 1928, in Milton, MA, she was the daughter of the late Gerard F. Shaw and Mildred Taylor Shaw. Nancy earned her Bachelor of Science degree and was a member of St. James Episcopal Church of Marietta, GA. She is survived by her sons, Stephen C. May, III (Joanne) of Dallas, GA, and Wade T. May (Anita) of Anderson, SC; daughter, Lisa May Hatcher (Robert) of Kennesaw, GA; six grandchildren, Stephen Hatcher, Jeffrey May, Hayden Woerner, Erin May, Andrew May, and Julia Hatcher; and two great-grandchildren, Griffin Woerner, and Grayson May. In addition to her parents and dedicated husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Shaw; and sister, Elizabeth Whitely. A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 19, 2022, at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home. The family will be at their respective homes.
