NancyL. Saxon Pendleton, SC Nancy L. Byers Saxon, age 73, passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2014 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Clay County, NC, on April 24, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Carl Byers and the late Willa Mae Cantrell Hall. She was an expert seamstress, working in textiles for many years. She was of the Church of God Faith. Nancy was a wonderful mother and grandmother and was affectionately known as "Nannie". She is survived by her children, Janet Phillips and her husband, Johnny, Bernell Taylor and his wife, Marie, and Rene' Hendrix and her husband, David; eight grandchildren, Cole Phillips, Kayla Phillips Lollis, Carrie Hendrix, Austin Taylor, Hannah Hendrix, Dalas Ryser, Clint Hendrix and Livy Hendrix; and three great-grandchildren, Laney, Layley and Adilyn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Dean Beaver. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel with Reverend Cole Phillips officiating. The family will be at the home of her daughter, Rene' Hendrix, and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home, on Saturday, prior to the service from 2:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. Flowers are optional, or memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
