Nancy Edmonds Tucker Anderson, SC Nancy Edmonds Tucker, age 69, wife of Reverend Early Tucker, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, October 14, 2014. Born in Anderson, SC, on September 24, 1945, she was the daughter of the late William and Arietta Edmonds. Nancy graduated from T.L. Hanna High School and Forrest College and worked as an office manager at Dr. Sam Haddock's office for over 43 years. She was a faithful member of Broadway Lake Baptist Church where she served in many capacities as long as her health allowed. She is survived by her devoted husband of 49 years, of the home; brothers, Jimmy Edmonds (Betty), Billy Edmonds (Lucille) and Donnie Edmonds; a sister-in-law, Sandra Edmonds; several nieces and nephews and their families whom she dearly loved. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a nephew, Michael Edmonds; and a brother, Charlie Edmonds. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dr. John Doster and his staff, Hospice of the Upstate and to the many family members and friends who cared for Nancy during her illness. The Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home on Friday, October 17, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend Dwight Greene and Reverend Tim Edmonds officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadway Lake Baptist Church, Building Fund, PO Box 2901, Anderson, SC 29622, or to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621.
