Heard of 104 Cameron Way, Anderson, SC, died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at his residence.Born in Anderson, SC on March 10, 1933, Mr. Heard was a son of the late Victor Nardin Heard and Mildred Harbuck Heard. He was the owner of Heard's, Inc. and served in the United States Army. He was an active recreation enthusiast, loving to coach Little League Sports thru involvement with the YMCA in earlier years. Mr. Heard was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia C. Heard of the home; children, Judith Wales and her husband, Joe of Lyles, TN, Victor H. 'Vicki' Kirby and her husband, Randy of Waterford, MI & William N. (Bill) Heard and his wife, Terri of Anderson, SC; brother, Marvin Zack Heard and his wife, Ann of Anderson, SC; sister, Victor 'Vicki' H Kingsmore and her husband, Doug of Clemson, SC; sister-in-law, Betty Taylor and her husband, James of Elizabethton, TN; brother-in-law, John L. Wilson of Anderson, SC; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He will be missed by his beloved dog, Sam.The Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, September 16, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home with Reverend Dr. Kirt Mitchell and Reverend Weldon Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson with Reverend Paul Frey officiating.
