Born in Abbeville, SC, on November 15, 1926, he was the son of the late Leon Dariels Cooley and the late Johnnie Inez Richie Cooley. Mr. Cooley was a contractor with Sloan Construction and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - Day Saints in Elgin, SC. He is survived by wife; sons, James Gantt and his wife Elsa of Elgin, SC, Ronnie Gantt and his wife, Tammy of Commerce, MI; daughter, Pamelia Bell and her husband, Rusty of Savannah, GA, and ten grandchildren. The Graveside Service will be held on Monday, July 7, 2014, at 10:00 am at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, with Bishop Tim Wren officiating. Interment will follow. The family will be at the home, 1000 Prince Street, Abbeville, SC.
