Thomas Neil Gable, Sr., age 82, passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Iva, SC, on March 8, 1935 he was the son of the late Keith Furman Gable and Martha Elizabeth Compton Gable. After graduating from Iva High School, Neil began his career in the United States Air Force. He proudly served his country for more than 20 years, retiring as Tech Sergeant during the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was an avid farmer and affectionately known as "Farmer". He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Barbara Jean Robinson Gable; children, Loretta Lynn Williams and her husband Wally, Mary E. "Tippy" Yeargin and her husband Greg, and Thomas Neil Gable, Jr. and his wife Cathy; a sister, Brenda Morgan; 7 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his bothers, Furman, Clark, and "Happy"; and half-sisters, Juanita Madden and Anita Holiday. The Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel.
