NELL KING June 3, 1918 - January 17, 2013 ANDERSON, SC Nell Cobb King, age 94, of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Rainey Hospice House. Born in Lavonia, GA, she was a daughter of the late Henry Grady Cobb and the late Leila Wilson Cobb. She retired from Clark Schwebel. She was a member of John Wesley United Methodist Church. She will be missed by many who affectionately knew her as Granny. She is survived by her children, Brenda Maddox and Deborah McKinney, both of Anderson; and four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Max L. King; her brother, Ty Cobb; and two sisters, Lucy Cobb and Frances Andrews. The Graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 20, 2013 at 3:30 pm at Dickson Memorial United Methodist Church Cemetery in Townville, SC with the Reverends Kurt Stutler and Sam Duncan officiating. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The McDougald Funeral Home prior to the service on Sunday from 1:00 until 2:30 pm.
