Mrs. Nellie Swaney Durham, 75, of 716 Five Forks Road, Anderson, SC passed away on Friday February 26, 2016 in Greenville, SC. She was born on December 12, 1940 to the late James and Ruzell Mize Swaney. She attended Fants Grove Baptist Church and a homemaker. She welcomed everybody into her home and was like a mother to most. Nellie is survived by her children: Dale Durham and husband Brian Nelms, Evelyn Gentry and husband James, Debra Morgan and husband Tony, and Derell Durham all of Anderson, SC; four grandchildren: Justin (Haley) Morgan, Kip Nelms, Stevie Thrasher, and James Cole Gentry; four great grandchildren: Khloe, Jayden, Jase, and Colton: and one brother: Charles Swaney of Pendleton. In addition to her parents and her husband: Morris Durham, she was preceded in death by two brothers: Edward and J.V. Swaney. A funeral service will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Fants Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Clark, Rev. Douglas Goss, and Rev. Robert Castro officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery at Fant's Grove. The Durham family will be at the residence of 716 Five Forks Rd., Anderson, SC and will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at The McDougald Funeral Home in Anderson, SC.
